2012 already seems to be my year for doing talks on YouTube in and around Vancouver. It’s only February and I’ve already been booked to speak to six events (plus a class of film students, but had to turn that one down since it’ll be the same week as Playlist LIVE.
I love speaking to audiences and sharing what I’ve learned about YouTube… basically the kinds of things I’ve been sharing on this blog all wrapped up into one presentation. Sometimes I’m asked to talk more about the blogging aspect of things, sometimes about getting started on YouTube in general, and now the big one seems to be how businesses can actually profit from YouTube. After all, everyone knows that a lot of views is great, but companies need to know how that exposure actually translates into more profit.
That’s exactly what my talk will be about at a big event happening next week in Vancouver called Social Media Money – How the shirt on your back can be profitable. It’s a full day conference with three other speakers – one of which being Jason Sadler, from iwearyourshirt.com. He’s become famous for wearing a different company’s t-shirt each day and getting paid very well to do so!

It’s amazing that a company is willing to pay such cash just to wear a t-shirt with your advert or URL on it. It’s an old offline strategy actually in promoting your business. But this guy, he’s doing it so right. As to YouTube, one can not simply become a superstar nowadays. There are a lot of competitors. Those talented people are the only ones that can dig gold into it.
I think I missed the one on 21st already. Where can I see the schedule and fees of the future conferences.. Thanks

Any chance that you’ll be coming to Southern California soon. This is something I’m curious about and your seminar looks reasonably priced as well. Anyway, you have my email, so let me know if you come to my area.
I’ll be in LA for VidCon (YouTube conference) at the end of June, but haven’t been asked by any organizations to do a seminar yet… if I do, I’ll send it out through my newsletter so hopefully you’re on there (and otherwise if you know of any organizations who have a budget to bring me out, please send them my way)! :-0

I am seeking marketing strategy about how to make money with Youtube. The strategy must works in long term. Test and error several times until get the successful strategy.
Is you tube great source to earn money or can get result of marketing from it….
