Hey all you boys and ghouls, hope you've been having a scarily good October! Mine's been full of big changes and all kinds of goodies!
My October notables:

- Moved to Vancouver: I packed up everything I could fit into (and onto) my car and made my way over to Vancouver, and I've loved it here from the moment I arrived! The city has a great vibe about it and lots going on. It took me a while to get all settled into my new apartment and get all the stuff I needed for it, but everything's been great. Even the rain hasn't been getting to me... yet. Luckily, the past few days have been sunny, which I'm told is nothing short of a miracle, so I'm enjoying it while it lasts.
- Got 6 auditions in 1 week: All indie/student productions, but still - that's definitely a new record for me! I ended up having to cancel two of them because of scheduling conflicts, but it's great to be out auditioning so much - I usually find 2 or 3 indie productions a day that have roles that I can audition for. In Calgary, it was more like 2 or 3 a month.
- Got my first acting role in Vancouver: One of the student productions that I auditioned for cast me as a bit of a sleezy businessman in their production. I'm excited to work with some up and coming filmmakers in Vancouver and have some local material for my resume and demo reel. We start shooting on Monday.
- Got my first videography gig in Vancouver: I was hired to videotape part of a revenue building seminar for a local business. They've also booked me for a couple days in February already!
- Started another giveaway on YouTube: A producer gave me 10 copies of his scary to give away. Watch and enter here!
News on what's coming up:
- Lots more planned for YouTube - regular vlog updates, regular comedy segments, more giveaways, etc!
- Getting new headshots next week with a professional photographer.
- Participating in an acting workshop with 4 casting directors and 3 acting coaches.
- Just found out that I got cast in a short film that will be shooting in November!
- Applying to talent agencies & booking more auditions!
Needless to say, things are going great overall and I'm loving being in Vancouver. The future looks bright! Too bad the weather forecast doesn't.
Have a great Halloween !
Josh
