Well, it's finally happened!!! I'm proud to say that Brothers TV is now on the air, and you can see me and my brother getting into all sorts of mischief every Friday night on Access Television and Saturday mornings on BrothersTV.com. It was really exciting watching the first episode (Andy had a party in Red Deer and I had a party in Calgary). We got a lot of positive feedback, and now we just have to wait to see what the official ratings were. Until then we have a lot more work to do in order to get the rest of the episodes done, so there's certainly no slowing down for us yet.
I've been hired by Centre Stage Theatre Co. to act in a play called "Seesaw" which will be showing in various junior high schools around Calgary. I play a 7th grader who gets picked on by the school bully and who's parents are too busy to pay attention to him. It's a cute play and should be a lot of fun.
My brother called into a nationally broadcast TV show out of Toronto called JR Digs. Almost half of the episode ended up being about me and Andy! Click here to see some of it. We've had tons of interest from the media throughout the province for Brothers TV! We had stories in The Red Deer Express, The Central Alberta Adviser, FFWD Weekly, and Outlooks Magazine. Shaw TV Red Deer did a story on us and we had a live interview on the CFCN news at noon. We were interviewed live over the phone for the 630 Ched morning show. You can see the articles and video stories in the press/media section of BrothersTV.com We've had a lot of positive feedback from the public as well, and a lot of people are watching or have at least heard of our show! When I tell people about Brothers TV I often hear "Oh ya, I've seen you guys in a poster/newspaper article/tv news story", which is really cool!
The play I'm in with Centre Stage Theatre Co. had two public shows at the Plaza Theatre in Kensington. These shows were primarily for teachers to come to and see the play so they could decide if they wanted to book it for their school. We have two schools booked so far. The audiences seemed to really like the shows and I'm enjoying doing some more live theatre.
I was hired to act in murder mysteries for two corporate parties with Murder Mystery Canada. One show was in Banff and the other one was in Kananaskis. I played a very incompetent hitman in both.
