May 2004

So far this month I've been spending some time at the hospital working as a standardized patient. This means I act out roles of patients with various illnesses/problems/pains and medical students are tested on how well they deal with different aspects of the situations. It's a lot of fun and since it's the end of the school year, they've been able to use me quite a bit lately.

Otherwise, I'm still working all the time on "Brothers", the tv show my brother and I are creating. We are currently sending out hundreds of letters to businesses in the area who we think will be interested in advertising during our show. We're being optomistic and think we'll be able to fill our 6 minutes of commercial time each episode. We're selling the air time for a very low price, so if you or someone you know could benefit from television advertising, please let me know!

Psycle, an independent short that I acted in, has been accepted into two film festivals.

This month it played in the 18th Annual National Student Film & Video Festival in Regina, Saskatchewan. Next month it will play in NIFF - Niagara's Short Film and Video Festival in St. Catherines, Ontario.

It's cool to get some exposure in other parts of the country, and it's still being submitted to Western film festivals, so I'm hoping it'll make it into one here!

Locally, I can be seen at the Medical Skills Centre playing a sick patient. Of course, you have to be a med student to see my moving performance.
