Hey everyone, hope the new year is going well
for you so far. If January is a sign of things to come, it's going to be
an awesome year for me!
Here's what happened in January:
- I got a grant to make a short film! The government has given me
a few thousand bucks to produce and star in a short film that I wrote.
It'll be shot in the spring in Calgary by a professional Director of
Photography and when it's done I'll be submitting it to film festivals
all over Canada, plus a few in other countries as well!
- I landed the lead role in another short film. This one was for
Vancouver Film School and was a fun little script. I spent 5 long days
on set (up to 14 hours each day) but it was a good time and I met lots
of cool people.
- Got a copy of another one of the scenes I did for the first
student project that I was in when I first moved to Vancouver. I'll
put it up on YouTube in the next few days.
- Hired an editor who's started to put together the skits from the
sketch comedy pilot that my brother & I did this summer. It'll be
great to have that done and see all the funny stuff we worked so hard
on back in July & August finally put together!
- Shot my first virtual tour for the online real estate video
company that I've been hired by. If you want to see a nice million dollar
home in Langley, check out http://www.albertaweddingvideos.com/RabbitView/langley.html
- Flew to Calgary yet again, this time to attend and photograph my
grandmother's 90th birthday party. It seems like I spend almost
as much time back in Calgary as I do in Vancouver!
News on what's coming up:
- I'm heading off to Arizona for 10 days to hang out with my
parents and brother. I'm looking forward to a warm, sunny break!
- I’ll be taping more virtual tours of houses on a pretty
regular basis as the year goes on.
- The Deborah Cox show that I'll be dancing in (for the opening
act) will be happening on February 28th. Details at http://www.celebritiesnightclub.com/upcoming_events/2008/02/deborah-cox-live
And that's about it for now. As usual, thanks for reading and
I'll be back in a month with more news!
