February 2007

My big news this month would have to be The $1000 YouTube Experiment on YouTube! It has been getting me a lot of attention -- thousands of views and comments on the video itself, plus the media have really taken notice... and all within just the first couple weeks!

660 News Radio did a few stories on it, the announcers on Jack FM were talking about it, the Calgary Herald did an article on it, the Red Deer Advocate did an article on it, Shaw TV Red Deer had me in their studio to do a story on it, Mount Royal College wants to do a story on it for their online publication, and tomorrow I'm doing a live studio interview at CBC radio during the Wildrose Country program ( between 12:00pm & 12:30pm on 1010 AM Calgary and 740 AM Edmonton).

I've already given away the first $100... to a girl in Florida. There's a video on that (as well as videos on the media stuff) linked to the original one. Just click on the picture below (or if your email doesn't show the picture, just search "Josh Rimer" at YouTube).

Otherwise, I'm doing shows at schools pretty much every day (sometimes up to 4 or 5 a day in fact!) and teaching 6 classes a week, and continuing to do videography and editing too. Go go go!

It'll be interesting to see where this YouTube thing goes, so be sure to subscribe to my videos, which means you'll be updated whenever I post a new one... that's how I keep people in the loop with what's happening with it (you just click on the little orange subscribe button to the right of my video). You have to have a YouTube account to do that, but it's free and easy to sign up (and they don't give out your email address, so no spam worries).

Ciao!

Josh
