I'm going with my family to Oaxaca, Mexico for two weeks this month and my brother and I are going to shoot some clips for the Brothers TV web site down there. So we'll still be doing some work, but I'm really looking forward to getting away and relaxing, especially since I've been working so much lately. I've been up until 6 or 7am the past few nights trying to get things done for our show before I leave.
Speaking of the show, it's moving to a new time slot for four weeks. From Feb 11th to March 4th we'll be on at 2:30am, still on Friday nights and still on Access. Probably sounds late for most of you, but obviously it's only early evening in my schedule! It should help us to try attract more of the bar/club croud. A lot of people told us they miss the show because they're still out when it's on, so hopefully this way we'll catch some of those people. It's also quite a bit less expensive to be on at that time so financially it was a good thing to do too. (If you weren't aware, I buy the entire 1/2 hour slot and then sell the commercial minutes)
I got hired to be another character's voice in a cartoon series at Chinook Animation. I really enjoyed doing it for the last one, so I'm excited to do it again. I don't know anything about this one... probably another anime/japanamation series though as that seems to be what most of them are. I don't know how many episodes either. I don't even know when it starts. I just know that I got the role!
I got hired by Centre Stage Theatre Company to do a residency program in March at the Calgary Jewish Academy, which is an elementary school. I'll be working with the students on theatre productions that they'll put on at the school at the end of the residency. I'll be there for four days. I'm really looking forward to that. I love that Centre Stage Theatre Company has given me so many opportunities to teach. I really enjoy it!
And since I brought that up, they also hired me to teach some summer camp acting courses. They'll be week long camps of acting on film for kids and teens. We'll make a movie and show it at the end. It'll be four full days (9 to 4) of taping each movie, and then the big premiere showing and some other fun stuff on the fifth day.
My trip to Mexico was great! I was there for two weeks and did a lot of sleeping, suntanning, walking around, relaxing, and eating. The perfect vacation! I also shot a bit of stuff with my brother for a clip to put on the Brothers TV web site. More pics from that trip coming soon to the vacation section of the photo gallery. I also got some photos sent to me from the Mardi Gras themed New Years Eve gig that my brother and I did at "Indulge" through Out Of Our Heads. |
