I’ve been on Facebook for quite some time now, but I never really had my own “Like” page. iJustine has one, and so does Shane Dawson. My buddy Michael Buckley has one, too. In fact, most top YouTubers and celebrities have their own “Like” pages – so why didn’t I?
Well, part of me thought it wasn’t that necessary since I could have everyone add me as a friend and be connected to my personal profile. The other part of me thought it seemed just a bit too conceited to start one when Facebook still called them “Fan Pages” (now just called “Pages”). I mean, the point of this blog is to follow my journey as I try to get famous online, not that I necessarily am yet. But now I’ve seen the light and finally given in so I’m happy to tell you that my Page is all set up and the “Likes” are rollin in (almost 1500 so far)!
Before my Page was created the only way to connect with me on Facebook was as I mentioned, to be my friend. Now, I’m a really friendly guy, and I pretty much accept everyone, but doing things through a Facebook profile instead of a “Like” page has its drawbacks. For one thing, you’ll need to wait for me to approve your friend request before you can take a gander at most of my stuff. Another problem is that Facebook sets a limit for the number of “friends” you can have. Apparently, you can be as “friendly” as you like, just as long as it’s to just 5,000 people or less. If you’re a very private person, you might even be iffy about giving me access to your personal information by becoming my “friend”… if you’re paranoid like that. ![]()
A Facebook Page changes all that. If you want to connect with me on Facebook, all you have to do is visit my Page and click the “Like” button. There’s no limit to the number of people who can “Like” me, either. “Liking” me also means you can keep all your personal details to yourself, while still getting my Facebook updates. Everything’s just a lot easier with a “Like” page, and everybody wins!
So what can you expect from the Josh Rimer Facebook “Like” page? You’ll get updates from my blog and my YouTube channel fed straight into your News Feed. I’ll also be sharing things that are too small to warrant their own blog posts. If you want to work with me on something, or simply want to have a small chat with me, my Facebook “Like” page gives you a really convenient way to tell me things and talk with other people who “Like” my stuff.
Hop onto over to my Facebook “Like” page and hit that “Like” button! It’ll be loads of fun. I promise, or you’re money back (ya, it’s free).
What do you think? What do you want to see on my Page? Do you “Like” other YouTube personalities? Do you have your own Facebook Page?

It’s there, you just can’t see it. It doesn’t show up to you on your own pages.
