Autobiography

I remember watching TV commercials when I was a kid and dreaming about being in them. In elementary school I would write short plays and perform them in front of my class. I begged my parents to put my in tap lessons and every year I'd choreograph a dance number for the annual talent show. I've always been passionate about performing and I love it as much today as I did when I was a kid.

After high school I wanted to learn more about television so I got a Broadcasting Diploma from Mount Royal College. That was immediately followed by jobs at RDTV and A-Channel. Despite already working full time at a TV station, I still couldn't get enough, so I also volunteered at Shaw TV.

After taking a 1 year break to travel around Australia, I decided to put more focus on acting. I got an agent and landed some commercial work and corporate video gigs. I also got back into theatre and began taking acting workshops and classes.

In 2004 I felt that I needed something more than what was being offered to me in the local Calgary scene, so I decided to create my own work - a comedy/variety TV show that I would write and produce with my brother. Months of work went into "Brothers TV" which first aired late at night on Access Television for six months and then moved to OutTV where it still currently airs four times a week.

In 2007 I decided that I wanted to break into the online video craze and created "The $1000 YouTube Experiment" which made it to the #1 most discussed video of all time on YouTube and garnered me all kinds of newspaper, magazine, radio, and TV publicity.

Later that year my brother and I decided to create a new sketch comedy show with stronger writing and higher production values. It was shot in the summer and is currently being edited to show to prospective producers and broadcasters.

At the end of 2007 I decided to take the next step in moving my career forward and relocated to Vancouver. I still have a home base in Calgary and have returned several times, but Vancouver is now my primary residence. I have began to immerse myself in the acting scene here by doing independent and student projects as well as workshops with casting directors. I'm hoping to find a good agent soon so that I can continue to push forward with my career.

I'm feeling proud of the accomplishments I've had so far and I'm very excited about the future! I'm working hard to ensure that my career continues to grow and be successful. Thanks for following along on my journey!
