August 2004

This month my brother Andy & I have been continuing to work full time (and then some) on our tv show. We had a table at the Marda Gras festival and handed out over a thousand flyers and pieces of gum with "Brothers TV" and our web site printed on them.

I also have been meeting quite a few business owners trying to sell advertising/sponsorship during our tv show. The response has been quite good, and we have three for sure so far.

I got the lead acting role in a play that will be at the University Theatre on September 11th. The show is called Rhythm of Peace and has all kinds of dancing throughout. I don't dance myself, but act in silence (my physicality along with poems and the dancing tell my character's story).

The short film "Psycle" that I had the lead role in has been accepted into the Calgary International Film Festival. I can't wait to see it on the big screen! The exact day and time hasn't been set yet.

I also got a role in a commercial for the Calgary International Film Festival. It'll be played on tv and during the festival. You never see any faces in the commercial (it's me and a girl), so you just see my body and hear my voice.

As for Brothers TV, we've completely finished our first episode! It turned out great(if I do say so myself!) and we can't wait to see it on the air. The show will air on October 1st on Access Television at 1:30am (MST) and then every Friday night after that. We'll also be airing the episodes on our web site after each show airs, from 2:30am until 11:30am.
