This month I acted in a murder mystery for a private function. I had a fun (& quick) role -- the hitman. I entered the room, made my presence known, and before I could pull off the murders, got shot by a detective. Not a bad gig -- free food and drink, got paid, and worked for under 5 minutes!

Now, to the extreme opposite, where I work hours each day without pay... yes, I'm talking about "Brothers", the tv show I'm working on with my brother Andy. Not a whole lot to report here since the last update -- we are still working on being able to air episodes this summer/fall. It's certainly a lot more difficult than it seems to get a show together... CRTC regulations are more complicated than I realized and there are many steps involved in the whole process. But if you know me, you know that's not slowing me down! Persistent might be an understatement.

I've started a new weekly acting class called "Exercise Your On Camera Muscle" with Valerie Planche. I actually had to apply to get into the course as it's only for working professionals. I'm really enjoying it and learning a lot about acting, the industry in general, and myself!

If you know me, you know that I usually have a few different jobs on the go, and they can vary from one week to the next (you should see the amount of T4's I have!!!). Well, this month I've taken off a couple weeks from everything to just stay at my home office and work on Brothers (the tv show that my brother and I are producing). I've been working on the budget, production schedule, getting equipment, CRTC and broadcaster applications, meeting with our accountant, lawyer, and banker, writing our sponsorship proposals, and so on and so on and so on! I got a company phone line put in and in the near future I'll be getting a post office box. I really love working on everything involved with getting our company and the show going. I take my day's paper work into bed with me at the end of the night, and grab it again when I wake up in the morning!
